The Challenge: Replacing Legacy Systems with Modern Access Control and Video Surveillance
Capital C, the former Diamond Exchange of Amsterdam, has been reinvented as a hub for the city’s creative community. It offers offices, flexible work areas, and event spaces for organizations of all sizes. The mix of short-term tenants, frequent visitors, and large gatherings demanded a flexible and secure way to manage daily operations.
The management team identified several priorities:
The Solution: A cloud-based system integrating video, access, and workspace tools
Capital C partnered with Brivo, Eagle Eye Networks, and Bisner to create a unified platform for access control, video management, and digital workplace services.
Brivo’s physical security solutions control access to the main building, elevators, meeting rooms, and office floors, enabling tenants and guests to use mobile credentials or physical cards instead of keys or badges. Existing cameras were connected to Eagle Eye Cloud VMS (Video Management System), giving the team secure, remote visibility.
With Bisner’s workplace solution integrated into the system, tenants can now book rooms, open doors, and manage visitor access directly from an app. For garage access, Capital C installed the Netherlands’ first Eagle Eye license plate recognition (LPR) camera, enabling automatic vehicle entry.
Together, the three systems give Capital C a single, connected workflow for tenants, visitors, and building managers.
“Our goal was to create a flexible system that supports a dynamic community. By combining Eagle Eye’s cloud video management system with Brivo access control and Bisner’s platform, Capital C now provides tenants and guests with a secure and efficient way to move through the building.”
— Koen, General Manager, Capital C
Simplified, unified operations and an improved experience for tenants and guests
With the new platform, Capital C has simplified the way people move through the building. Tenants can use their phones or cards to access office floors, book meeting rooms, and receive guests. Event organizers can register large groups in advance, ensuring smooth entry without additional staff or temporary badges. The garage gate opens automatically through license plate recognition, allowing vehicles to drive in smoothly and without delay.
For the management team, the connected system provides a clear overview of daily activity while reducing the need for on-site servers or manual processes. General Manager Koen and colleagues use the platform every day, highlighting its intuitive web interface and the flexibility it brings to Capital C’s operations.
