About the Integration

Add a video intercom to Brivo. Visitors call by name, residents answer and unlock from their phone, and Brivo stays the single record of who has access.

MyDoorView integrates with Brivo to add video intercom functionality to the access control system already in place. Visitors use the MyDoorView panel to find and video call the person they are visiting, and the recipient can see who is at the entrance and unlock the door directly from their phone.

With the Brivo integration, property administrators select which Brivo groups should be available at each MyDoorView entry point. Users and applicable credentials from those groups are synchronized into MyDoorView, allowing Brivo to remain the system of record for identity and access management.

The integration is one-way for user and credential data: MyDoorView reads the information maintained in Brivo and does not write changes back to Brivo. When a resident, credential, or group assignment is updated in Brivo, MyDoorView receives those changes through Brivo events, so updates can be reflected without relying solely on scheduled synchronization.

When a user unlocks a door through a MyDoorView video call, MyDoorView sends the appropriate unlock request to Brivo. Property teams manage users, credentials and access permissions in Brivo, without maintaining a separate resident directory by hand.

What It Does

  • Brivo groups build the directory. Pick the groups that belong at each entry and their users appear at the door, with no second list to maintain.

  • Answer and unlock from a phone. A visitor calls from the panel, the resident sees who is at the entrance and unlocks the door from their phone, and MyDoorView sends the unlock request to Brivo.

  • Door PIN and card at the panel. Users and applicable credentials from the selected Brivo groups are synchronized into MyDoorView, so the same credential works at the panel.

  • Changes follow Brivo events. When a resident, credential or group assignment changes in Brivo, MyDoorView receives the change through Brivo events, not only through scheduled synchronization.

  • Guests and deliveries. Residents issue single-use, multi-use or unlimited guest access from the app, with dates and times they set.

  • Brivo stays the system of record. MyDoorView reads identity and credentials and never writes them back, so there is one source of truth.

How It Works

  1. 1. Connect.

Your reseller or integrator connects MyDoorView to your Brivo account through their partner portal, using an administrator account and API credentials generated in Brivo.

  2. 2. Choose groups.

Select the Brivo groups that belong at each entry.

  3. 3. Build the directory.

Users and applicable credentials from those groups are synchronized into MyDoorView. Changes in Brivo reach MyDoorView through Brivo events.

  4. 4. Call and unlock.

A visitor finds a resident on the panel and places a video call, and the resident answers and unlocks the door from their phone. MyDoorView sends the unlock request to Brivo.

What You Need

On the Brivo Side

  • A Brivo account with API access, obtained through Brivo's integration process
  • An account user with Super Administrator privileges
  • The Admin ID from your Brivo Access account settings
  • A Client ID and Client Secret generated in Brivo
  • Groups arranged to reflect who belongs at each entry, since groups build the directory
  • Card formats limited to Standard 26 Bit or Generic 34 Bit

On the MyDoorView Side

  • MyDoorView Essential Edition or higher
  • A MyDoorView VUE-7 series intercom at each entry, with PoE or 12V DC power
  • A MyDoorView account, with the integration configured by your reseller or integrator through their partner portal
  • Residents or staff running the MyDoorView app, to answer calls and unlock remotely
  • Network access for the panel over Ethernet or Wi-Fi

Where It Fits

Multifamily

Residents answer visitors and release the entry from their phone, and issue guest and delivery access from the app. Call groups route a call to everyone in a unit, and the directory at the door is the same list your team already manages in Brivo.

Commercial Real Estate

A video intercom at the lobby or tenant entry, with the directory built from the Brivo groups for each entry. Office staff can share calls through a call group, and the credentials that work on a reader work at the panel.
