Earlier this year Brivo announced its partnership with LifeSaftey Power\u00ae and showed how installers specifying access control installations can take advantage of a unified enclosure coordinating system power, lock power and access panel hardware with the new Brivo Integrated Power Management System. Through our partnership with LifeSafety Power, Brivo brings to the installer community a complete electrical and mechanical integration of power, locks and Brivo ACS5000 controllers in a single wall mount chassis, providing faster, simpler installation and greater service efficiencies.<\/p>\n
Traditionally, access control integrators would need three separate cabinets for system power, lock power and access hardware, greatly increasing the wall space footprint and the job costs due to multiple AC drops and inter-cabinet wiring.<\/p>\n
Brivo Integrated Supply, however, has a unique power distribution architecture that busses 12 and 24V DC across all the power distribution modules with individual voltage selection on a per output basis<\/u>. With the LifeSafety Power partnership, integrators can realize up to 60% wall space savings and 40% installation savings.<\/p>\n
Brivo Integrated Power Supply was originally introduced with single voltage units (LSP-SV75 and LSP-SV150), for 4-16 doors in two different chassis models, and have recently been expanded to include dual voltage and managed power units.<\/p>\n

Typical on-site service functions such as battery test, or onsite power cycling are able to be performed remotely freeing up technician time and more importantly, being able to respond instantly to system issues providing greater system uptime. The power management system is also predictive by identifying potential problems with batteries or connected devices so onsite maintenance can be performed before a problem occurs.<\/p>\n Intelligent power management provides instant notification of AC power loss, fire alarm input activation, cameras or locks drawing power beyond their rated current and information on batteries operating at a low, critical level.
