Use Keypad Command to Override a Door Unlock Schedule on Brivo Onair®

Did you know that you can control your door unlock schedules directly from the keypad reader? Brivo OnAir lets you assign certain groups the permission to use keypad commands to override a door unlock schedule and later reactivate it. For example, let’s say you are at a doctor’s office and have your front entrance unlocked from 9 AM to 5 PM. However, from 12 noon to 1 PM, you want to lock that door while your staff is at lunch, but you’re never exactly sure if your staff will be back exactly at 1 PM. This feature allows you to control the process.

When you first create a group (or edit an existing group) that you want to have this authority, click the Keypad Unlock-Hold Privileges checkbox to allow any member of that group to override a door unlock schedule by presenting his or her credentials and entering 99# on the keypad reader. To reactivate the door unlock schedule, the group member presents his or her credential and enters 00#. This feature does not work on readers without keypads, and remember that the schedule override will remain in effect until restored, so if you forget, your 2 PM appointment will probably knock on the door.
