Card Calculator
Use this calculator to determine the Card Format, Card Number and Facility Code of a card.
Instructions:
Connect a Reader to the Control Panel (See Reader and Keypad Wiring Guide).
-
Present a Card. Write down the bit length and hexadecimal values as they appear in the Activity Log. For example:
Failed Access: Unknown Credential (Card Hex: 2c81461 Bits: 26)
Enter the bit length and hex values below, then click "Calculate."
Proceed with Adding Cards via the Cards section. We recommend adding one or two cards to start, assigning them to users, and then testing them prior to adding your entire card range. For more information, see "Adding Cards" in the Help Center or Administrator's Manual.
Result:
| Bit pattern: | --- |
| Card Format: | --- |
| Internal Card Number: | --- |
| Facility Code: | --- |
Notes: 1. The Card Format is interpreted from the bit pattern to be one of the following: Standard 26 Bit, Generic 34 Bit (Even or Odd Parity), HID Corporate 1000 (35 Bit), HID 37 Bit (with or without Facility Code), Casi-Rusco 40 Bit. 2. The Internal Card Number is usually the same as the External Card Number (the number printed on the card itself), however it can be offset. 3. "Facility Code" is "Company ID Code" in the case of 35 bit (HID Corporate 1000) cards.
