Brivo's XML Application Programming Interface (API) opens the door to a world of opportunity that reaches far beyond traditional access control. Available for use on any Brivo ACS, the XML API makes IP-based access control systems a business tool, not just a security tool.

  • Centralize resource management. Brivo's XML API can connect a Human Resources system to the access control system. New employees are automatically assigned proper credentials, and terminated employees have theirs automatically revoked.

  • Ease of integration. Brivo's Service Oriented Security Infrastructure™ (SOSI) uses open XML to exchange data so that diverse systems can “understand” one another. Services such as ID management are easily integrated with the Brivo ACS allowing customers to extend the capabilities of their access control and manage badging data from a single system.

  • Streamline processes and increase efficiency. Membership clubs can now extend the functionality of their membership databases by communicating directly with their access control. Members use the same card at the front desk, and are granted or denied entrance based on their "account status".

  • Create new revenue streams. Provide municipal agencies (such as the police) with administration privileges. Administration can be centralized or decentralized.
