Brivo is committed to protecting the environment by designing and manufacturing products that help our customers operate their systems more efficiently and reduce their power consumption. In pursuing our program of improved environmental performance and pollution reduction we will:
- Comply with existing environmental regulations;
- Continuously assess the environmental effects of all operations;
- Continuously seek to improve environmental performance;
- Raise awareness, encourage participation, and train employees;
- Adopt purchasing programs that consider the environmental impact of suppliers; and
- Assist customers in making environmentally sensitive choices.
Brivo has taken the following concrete steps towards sustainability and reducing energy consumption.
- Corporate are located in an urban environment that is convenient to mass transit.
- We offer financial incentives for employees to use mass transit for commuting.
- We offer bike storage for employees.
- Our offices are equipped with energy efficient lighting and automatic controls.
- We have eliminated Styrofoam cups and plates in favor of washable mugs, glasses, dishware and utensils.
- We promote and maintain a vigorous recycling program.
- We make maximum use of Software as a Service (SaaS) based applications to reduce the need for computer resources and energy consumption to operate our business.
- Brivo’s SaaS security management systems helps reduce our customers’ energy consumption by consolidating application and database processing at our efficient data center.
- Additionally, all Brivo manufacturing and products are RoHS compliant, making them free of certain dangerous substances used in electronic equipment, such as lead.
