Bethesda, MD, November 15, 2006 — Brivo Systems, the leader in Web applications for access control and security systems, today announced the release of Version 7.2 of the Brivo ACS WebService Application. The new version provides increased security options for Administrators by allowing them to store user photographs and generate more focused user reports. Version 7.2 brings a new level of detail in managing users that will enable Administrators to maintain higher levels of security.

A user’s photo is associated with his or her unique record. Administrators can use existing digital pictures or capture one when a record is created using a Web camera. The picture is then displayed on the User Details page for quick and accurate identification. This is significant because storing user images can deter people from passing their cards to other people and strengthen organizational policies designed to prevent employees from sharing credentials.

To further enhance Administrators’ ability to monitor system activity, upgrades to the User Report page make it easier to generate a report based on user data fields. The results can also be filtered so that the Administrator can define a subset of data, such as department, group, or effective dates. This results in reports that are more meaningful because they show only the information needed.

“Brivo continues to regularly deliver powerful new features to ACS WebService Administrators, often based directly on specific customer requests, ” said Steve Van Till, President and COO of Brivo Systems. “We have a unique advantage of bringing all the new features immediately to all of our ACS WebService customers because they access the Web-hosted application over the Internet, relieving them from the burden of upgrading PCs or purchasing new versions of software.”
