JEE Engineer


Our team seeks engineers eager to turn problems on their head and construct solutions from requirements analysis to finished products. We build and maintain a Web-based, hosted access control and video management service that supports approximately 25,000 doors and 1,000,000 credentialed users worldwide. As a team, we appreciate the relationship between our work and the bottom line – no busy work or unnecessary paperwork. We are seeking software engineers with the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years software development experience
  • Minimum of 4 years JSE and 2 years JEE experience including JMS (JBoss and ActiveMQ preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years relational database experience including database design (Oracle preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years HTML, CSS, JavaScript experience
  • Strong understanding of object oriented and domain driven design principles with a demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality solutions
  • Fluency in Java web development techniques, patterns, and approaches (JSP, Struts, XML-RPC)
  • Exposure to lightweight, iterative development practices utilizing continuous integration (Subversion, Ant, Hudson) and automated unit testing (EasyMock and TestNG preferred)
  • Redhat/Fedora Linux, PHP, Spring, Wicket, YUI, and basic Bash shell scripting experience preferred, but not required
  • We honor talent and accomplishment above degrees, but a BS/MS in CS, CE, or EE is a plus
